The website was created to provide Auxiliary Members and Volunteers with immediate access to current and archived information for all the activities done at JMH WC Hospital.
The www.JMHAuxiliary. com was available in prototype form for one year to Auxiliary members only. Now, as/of 5/1/23, the Website is Live and open to all Volunteers. Please feel free to explore the Website. If it seems useful bookmark it:

Fun fact: The Volunteers and the Auxiliary existed before John Muir Hospital opened!
In 1959, with the planned opening of BART, Contra Costa experienced a huge growth spurt. It was clear that a new hospital was needed east of the Caldecott Tunnel. Thirteen fundraising groups (called Guilds) were formed to raise the millions of dollars needed to build the Hospital.
Once John Muir opened in 1965, the Guilds were joined together the JMH WC Auxiliary. Individual members of Guilds were designated as Volunteers under the JMH Volunteer Services organization.
The Auxiliary was and is primarily focused on Fundraising. The money raised through dues, and events is used to improve the equipment and facilities of the Hospital.
To the right of this column, I highlight those activities we are currently doing to raise money in addition to the Volunteer dues.
Auxiliary Board Meetings are usually held on the 4th Monday of the month from 10:30 am to noon. We have room for up to ten observers. If you are interested contact me the Aux Secy at JMHAUXILIARY@gmail.com for an invitation to attend.
